Yes, purchases can be returned to any Canadian Tire store within 90 days of purchase. Product must be in its original condition and packaging, and returned with your receipt and issue of Canadian Tire "Money"®. Use our Store Locator to find the store nearest you. See Returns Policy for complete details, including exclusions and exceptions.

If you have forgotten your password, simply click on the Forgot Your Password link, fill in the required fields and choose the SEND PASSWORD button. A new password will be sent to the email address that you provided when you created the account. If you are unable to remember your username or email address, please call Customer Service toll-free at 1-866-746-7287 for assistance.

Fill out the “Please select a pickup location to check inventory” section found on all product detail pages. This will identify all stores in your search area. Select your preferred store from the ones identified and click the “Select Store” button. Once this selection is made, store availability will appear on all product detail pages.

Depending on the vendor, items vary in delivery times.  You will be notified of an estimated ship date within the confirmation email of your online order.

Yes, please call the store directly to arrange for an extended pickup date. Your pickup date can be extended up to 9 days.

Yes, customers can pickup their In-Store Pickup orders via Curbside pickup using the “I’m Here” button in the Ready for Pickup e-mail or by calling the store when onsite. Additionally, orders placed as Curbside pickup can be picked up in-store using the QR code found in the Ready for Pickup e-mail. Please look for designated signs for Online Order Pickup when in store.

ONLINE ORDERING

Yes, you can shop online at canadiantire.ca and find many of the items you see in your local store as well as many other items that are part of our Online Exclusive assortment.  
Most products you see on our website can be picked up from your local store with our free in-store pick-up or curbside pick-up, and we also offer Ship to Home starting at $4.99 on many items as well.  
There are some items are not available to purchase online and must be purchased in store only. To confirm if a product is eligible for shopping online, check for the In-Store Pick Up or Ship to Home icons on the product page.

No. You do not need to have an account to purchase products online, though it does provide additional benefits like access to your previous orders, ability to store your address and credit card information to make future purchases easier and access to your Triangle Rewards information if you are a member of the program.
 

We have attempted to match our prices on canadiantire.ca with those that you will see in your local store. While we strive for pricing accuracy, market conditions and competitive pressures can cause prices to change. 
Online pricing and product selection may also differ from your local store.

We will make every effort to make the product available to you. As long as it is available in our Distribution Centre or from a vendor, you can purchase most items online and we will notify you when it is ready for pickup at your store or ready to be shipped to you. 

No, your Official Sales Receipt will be provided to you when you complete your pick-up transaction at the store. If your order was delivered to your home, the receipt will be provided with your shipping documents.  
For all orders, we are now happy to provide you with an e-reciept in your completed 'Thank you' email.
Please keep a copy of your receipt as you will need it to return or exchange your item(s).

Canadian Tire will send you a confirmation email letting you know that we have received your order. A follow-up email is sent once your order is ready for pickup or when it has been shipped.

At this time, we are unable to accept other credit/debit cards, gift cards, or store credit for online purchases.

When you place an order, we retain a preauthorization for the full amount on your credit card until the items are ready for pickup. When an item is ready for pickup, your credit card is charged for that item. Preauthorization is retained on any outstanding items on your order. A Ready for Pickup email will be sent to the email address you provide when a payment is processed and items are ready for pickup.

You can modify your cart at any time prior to payment processing. If you need to cancel your order once it has been placed, follow these steps after signing in to your account: select Account from the top menu and go to Order History; select Cancel Order to cancel the entire order or Remove to delete an individual item from your order. If you do not have an account, please contact Customer Support at 1-866-746-7287 to speak to an agent to cancel the order.
For In-Store Pick Up: If you cancel any items for which we have not issued a Ready for Pickup email, the pre-authorization held on your card will be removed. After a Ready for Pickup email has been issued, charges to your credit card will be reversed within 24-48 hours.
For Ship to Home: We’ll do everything we can to accommodate your request if your order has not already been processed. Orders can’t be cancelled once they’ve been shipped – you will need to return unwanted items to a Canadian Tire location after they’ve been delivered.

As with purchases made in-store, unopened items in original packaging purchased online may be returned with a receipt within 90 days of purchase and will receive a refund to the original method of payment or will receive an exchange. Items that are opened, damaged and/or not in resalable condition may not be eligible for a refund or exchange. Exchanges are handled in the same manner as product returns. Valid photo ID may be required to confirm this information. There are some exceptions. Complete details can be found in our Returns Policy.
*Canadian Tire stores in Ontario are not accepting returns during the lockdown. For purchases where the 90-day returns window expires during the lockdown, customers will be given a 15-day extension to return them when stores re-open.

To make purchases exempt from tax, Canadian Tire requires that documentation be provided at the time of purchase. Since this is not possible in our online environment, we are unable to allow any tax exemptions based on your tax-exempt status.

If any of the products within your order are in stock at the time the order is placed, they will be processed immediately and will be ready within our normal processing timelines. Products that are being ordered in from vendors or our Warehouse will be processed as soon as they become available. An estimated time of arrival can be found on product detail pages and on the shopping cart and checkout pages. You will receive notification when they are ready for pickup or have been shipped.

Almost all of the items you see in store will be available for you to purchase online. When shopping on our canadiantire.ca website, you will also be able to view many additional items which are part of our online exclusive products which are not available in store.

You can select to use our Forgot Your Password feature. From the Sign In screen, click on the "Forgot Your Password" link. Enter your email address and click on "Send Password". You will receive an email with a temporary password that you will be able to change the next time you are logged in. You may also call Customer Service toll-free at 1-866-746-7287.
 

There is no expiry date set for your password. However, you may wish to change your password from time to time. To do so, sign in to your account and then click on the "Account" icon at the top right of the page. Select "My Profile" in the left navigation. Choose the "Click here to change My Password" link and follow the instructions.

PAYMENT & PICKUP TERMS

Canadiantire.ca accepts the Canadian Tire Card, Options® MasterCard® Card, all Canadian-issued Visa, American Express and MasterCard cards, and most international Visa, American Express and MasterCard products.
 

We can only accept one credit card per transaction.
 

When you place an order with a store in another province, that province's sales tax will be applied to your order. Some provinces collect PST plus GST, some collect GST only, and some collect HST only.

For example, if you live in Alberta and you place an order with a store in Ontario, the Ontario HST (13%) will be applied to your order. If you place an order to be picked up in Nova Scotia, the Nova Scotia HST (15%) will be applied to your order.
 

Your credit card will be charged the full amount of your order once it has been processed by us and we have notified you by email that your order is ready for pickup. We will retain credit card preauthorization until items are ready for pickup.
 

Simply sign in to your account, go to the “Order History” page and click on the “Cancel order” link to cancel the entire order, or click on the “Remove” link to cancel an item from your order. If you cancel your order before it has been processed and you have been notified that it is ready for pickup, your credit card will not be charged. If you cancel your order after it has been processed and you have been notified that your order is ready for pickup, charges to your credit card will be reversed within 24-48 hours. You can also cancel your order by calling Customer Service at 1-866-746-7287.
 

If products are in stock, your order will be processed within 4 hours. Orders are usually processed within the next 4 business hours. Upon completion of order processing, you will be notified via email that it is ready for pickup.

Order placed before 12pm - Estimated pickup time: 4pm

Order placed before 4pm - Estimated pickup time: 8pm

CORE CHARGE

A core charge, sometimes called a casting charge, is a form of deposit you pay on a car part until returning your old part. If you do not have the old part with you at the time of purchase of the new part, you must pay the core charge. That charge is refunded to you when you return the old part. Like a bottle deposit, the charge is designed to encourage recycling.
 

Certain remanufactured parts such as alternators, starters, CV shafts, brake calipers, and distributors contain a "core" or recyclable component. When you purchase any of these parts, a core charge will be added to the purchase.

When you return the part, the recyclable component is returned to the part manufacturer for rebuilding and recycling.
 

Exchange the old part at the time of purchase OR bring the old/original part, in the replacement part's box, along with your purchase receipt to any Canadian Tire store within 90 days of purchasing the replacement part.

Stores will inspect the returned part to ensure the recyclable components are intact. If they are, the core charge will be returned. If they are not, then the customer will not receive a core charge refund.
 

ENVIRONMENTAL FEE

An environmental fee is a fee that is collected to help fund the disposal and recycling of household products that fall under provincial waste management regulations. This fee finances the collection, recycling, reuse or, when that is not possible, disposal of in the most environmentally-friendly way. In Quebec, Bill 60 legislation requires that advertised product prices include environmental fees and core charges. On canadiantire.ca, Quebec customers will see their store's environmental fees and core charges clearly displayed in the Total Price.

The types of products which have an ecofee will depend on the provincial regulations. However, generally Electronics, Paints, Hazardous products, Batteries, Tires are some of the product groupings impacted by waste management regulations. 

Yes, the environmental fee will be refunded in the same form of payment the original purchase was made.  

BONUS/PROMO CARDS

A Bonus or Promo Card is a reward of predetermined value issued as an incentive to make a purchase during a specific event.
 

Bonus/Promo cards can be redeemed on your next in-store purchase at Canadian Tire, within the specifid timeframe. The Bonus/Promo Card is not redeemable for cash and may only be redeemed for merchandise at Canadian Tire retail stores. Bonus/Promo cards must be presented and surrendered at time of use. Applicable taxes will be charged on the total transaction value before deducting the bonus/promo card value. One bonus/promo card per customer per transaction. Bonus/Promo cards cannot be used on purchases of hunting and fishing licenses, select services, previous purchases, gift cards and auto service labour including any associated fees. Bonus/Promo cards cannot be used at Mark’s, PitStop, Gas+ locations or for online or phone purchases or payments on a Canadian Tire account. Bonus/Promo cards cannot be combined with any other offer. Bonus/Promo cards cannot be applied to qualifying purchase. Upon return of the qualifying purchase, bonus/promo card must be surrendered or the bonus/promo card amount will be deducted from the refund amount. 

Bonus/Promo Cards cannot be used to purchase gift cards. They are not redeemable online or at Canadian Tire gas bars and cannot be applied as payment towards any Canadian Tire credit account.
 

Yes, Promo Cards usually have a short expiry date in which they can be redeemed. Bonus cards however, do not expire.

Upon returning an item purchased with the Bonus/Promo card, the card and its full value must be surrendered or the card amount will be deducted from the refund amount.

"Once you have downloaded the app to your device, click on the Canadian Tire app icon to launch. 
Browsing products and the flyer work very similarly to the mobile website. Users can select the departments, categories and subcategories they are interested in browsing. Users can also type words into the search box to find what they are looking for. 
The app also allows users visiting a store to scan the barcode on a product to quickly access product information such as detailed features, pricing, ratings and reviews, plus store availability. This is done by selecting the scan functionality within the app. The user can then use the device camera to ""scan"" the barcode and find the product information. Simply hover over the barcode and gently move the device until you get a successful read. It is also important to note that the ability to read barcodes is only available on devices that have autofocus functionality on the camera.
To locate the nearest store, the app can use the GPS location of the device. If users do not grant permission to allow access to the GPS functionality, they can alternatively select a store by entering a postal code or browse by province and city to find the location they are looking for."

The current store is shown at the top of the app's "Home" tab and on the "Stores" tab as well. Tap on either of those two locations to select a different store.

No, at this time users can only read product reviews that have already been posted.
 

"To locate the nearest store, the app can use the GPS location of the device. The user does not need to select the city or enter a postal code. "The product barcode scanning feature works only on devices with autofocus built into the camera functionality. Older smartphones may not be able to access this functionality. If the barcode is not clear on the product packaging, users may also type in the complete barcode UPC numbers to access the product information.

Products that are not online will not be accessible to the app."

Typically, we receive inventory information from our stores across Canada once a day. For various reasons, some stores may be unable to transmit their information at the time of our updates. We therefore provide you the date of the last update to keep you better informed.
 

No. Once you've selected which store you want to check, you can close the window and navigate to another product. The store availability for each product you view will be shown automatically. Should you want other stores, simply click on the “Check Other Stores” link and enter another province, city or postal code.
 

If you checked inventory in a larger urban centre, the list of stores may be presented in alphabetical order on more than one page. Click on the page numbers at the bottom of the list, or on the "previous/next" arrows to see more stores. If you do not see page numbers in the results, we suggest you go back to the list of cities and find yours under another label, e.g., instead of "Richmond", you could look under "Vancouver Region" or "Vancouver". Alternatively, you can always enter the postal code of your home/office/cottage, etc.
 

Checking inventory in larger urban centres may require a longer processing time. To refine your city search, we suggest you use, for example, "North York" or "Etobicoke" instead of "Toronto". Processing time is also affected by the traffic on our site and your computer's connection speed. If you've narrowed your search and the function is still slow, we recommend that you try again later or contact our Customer Service by e-mail or by phone at 1-866-746-7287.
 

Yes. We encourage you to call ahead to confirm the price and availability of the product you're interested in.
 

Once in a while, distribution problems may occur and a number of stores in a region may be out of stock on a particular item. An estimated time of arrival can be found on product detail pages and on the shopping cart and checkout pages. It is best to call your local store to check the earliest availability date.
 

No. Although great care is taken in keeping the information on this website current, changes may occur without notice. Typically, we receive inventory information from our stores across Canada once a day and inventory changes during the day are not reflected in the information provided.

The Triangle Rewards Program is owned and operated by Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited. Mark’s/L’Équipeur, Sport Chek, Atmosphere, Sports Experts, Sports Rousseau, Hockey Experts and L’Entrepôt du Hockey are part of the Canadian Tire family of companies and Canadian Tire has now designated participating locations of these stores as Partner locations under the program. This means that members will be able to collect electronic Canadian Tire Money® on qualifying purchases at participating store locations.
 

"Effective December 1st, 2019 we may expire the electronic Canadian Tire Money (eCTM) in your Triangle Rewards Account in the event that there has been a period of inactivity of 18 months or more. “Inactivity” means that there has been neither a transaction in which you have collected eCTM, nor a transaction in which you have redeemed eCTM during the period in question.
We will commence the expiry of CT Money for inactive accounts as of December 1, 2019. This means that any account that neither collected nor redeemed CT Money since June 1, 2018 may be subject to expiry."

Registered members can log into their Triangle Rewards account via the Triangle.com website or use the Triangle app to see your transaction history. Non-registered users can register online or via the app to see their transaction history, or if you would like to remain unregistered, you will have to call the Triangle Program customer service team at 1-800-226-8473 to determine the last date of use.

Yes, you will be notified if you are a registered Triangle Rewards member and have provided us with a valid email address. We will send you a notice of expiry at least 30 days but no more than 60 days prior to expiration of your CT Money. At that time, you will need to make an eligible transaction where you earn or redeem your CT Money to remain in active status. People holding unregistered Triangle Rewards cards are not yet members of the program, have not yet earned any electronic Canadian Tire Money and will not receive a notification of potential expiry since there is no way for us to contact you.

To ensure your account remains in active status, you must complete and “earn” or “redeem” transaction every 18 months. This is the only way to ensure that your CT Money will not expire. For further assistance and any special circumstances, please call the Triangle Rewards Program customer service team at 1-800-226-8473.

In order to be “active” you must be engaging in a transaction that either earns or redeems CT Money. Activity is based on earning and redeeming CT Money in your Triangle Rewards account. You can earn or redeem by paying for qualifying transactions with a Triangle credit card or by presenting your Triangle Rewards card or Triangle App.

Yes, Members can merge their Triangle Rewards Accounts into a single account. For more details on merging accounts, login to your account on the Triangle.com website and select “Merge Accounts” under the “My Account” heading or download the Triangle App and click "Manage Cards" on the Accounts tab.

There is no minimum number of litres of fuel required to qualify for the cents per litre offer and there is no maximum. Customers collect electronic Canadian Tire Money on every whole litre.

As long as you pay using any of the eligible tender types and present your Triangle Rewards™ card (Card, Key fob / Triangle Mobile App), or pay with your Triangle credit card. The offer applies to all gasoline grades as well as diesel.

With the change to the new cents per litre offer, Canadian Tire Petroleum will not be issuing any paper Canadian Tire Money at our Gas+/Essence+ locations in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Paper Canadian Tire Money is still available for Cash / Debit purchases at Canadian Tire retail stores and Gas+/Essence+ sites outside of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia for non My Canadian Tire Money Members or when proof of membership is not presented.

Yes, Triangle Rewards™ Members can convert paper Canadian Tire Money to electronic Canadian Tire Money at a Canadian Tire retail store. The paper Canadian Tire Money will be applied to your Triangle Rewards™ account.

Canadian Tire paper money can only be redeemed or converted to electronic Canadian Tire Money at Canadian Tire retail stores.

Membership & Account Information

We have changed the name of the My Canadian Tire Money® program to Triangle Rewards. You can continue to use your My Canadian Tire Money Card, but if you would like a new Triangle Rewards card, you can merge your old account to your new account on Triangle.com or through the Triangle App.

Physical cards are not mailed out when a digital Triangle Rewards card is created. If you’d like a physical rewards card and key fob, please give us a call at 1-866-SHOP-CTR or 1-800-226-8473 for more help.  

You can change your address by logging into Triangle.com or by calling Customer Service. Customers can also call Customer Service to report a lost or stolen card. To reach customer service, call 1-800-226-8473 Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 9:00 pm (EST) and Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (EST).

Each Triangle Rewards account can only be held by one person, however, family members can collect together as a household with up to two additional key fobs or by using the Triangle™ App. Alternatively, Triangle credit cardholders can request supplementary credit cards for family members.

Yes, customers can close their account at any time. There is no fee for closing an account, but they will lose any Canadian Tire Money® that they have collected. If a customer would like to cancel an account they should call Customer Service at 1-800-226-8473 Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 9:00 pm (EST) and Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (EST). Please note that if you have a Triangle branded credit card and close your Triangle Rewards account, you will also be closing your credit card account. 

Transfers are at the discretion of Canadian Tire. To request a transfer of Canadian Tire Money®, please call Customer Service at 1-800-226-8473 Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 9:00 pm (EST) and Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (EST). Remember, both members must have a registered Triangle Rewards account in order to transfer. 

If your card is lost or stolen you should immediately Customer Service at 1-800-226-8473 Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 9:00 pm (EST) and Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (EST) to let us know. Otherwise, you might not be able to recover any Canadian Tire Money® that could be redeemed by a person presenting your lost or stolen card. In the meantime, you can use the telephone number provided upon registration at time of purchase, or use the Triangle App.

Remember, you can collect and redeem Canadian Tire Money at Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, Atmosphere, Mark's, L'Équipeur, Hockey Experts, Sports Rousseau, L'Entrepôt du Hockey and participating Sports Experts stores. 

Yes! You can sign in to the Triangle App using your Triangle ID. It is the same credentials you would use to sign in on triangle.com or canadiantire.ca. If you have a credit card Online Account, you can sign in to app using the same username and password as you would on ctfs.com. 

You do not need a network connection to access your Triangle Rewards™ barcode in the app. However, when you are activating offers and checking your CT Money balance you will need to be connected to a network.
